Strategy
The Central Denmark Region (CDR) is the regional government of Central Jutland, its long-term strategy for sustainability aims at CO2-neutrality in energy and transport by 2030 and, by 2050 the region shall be a CO2-neutral "circular region".
More specifically, the Central Jutland Region's Strategy for Sustainability 2030 “our world, our responsibility” includes 4 climate goals in the areas of circular economy; electricity, water and heat; logistics, transport and mobility; and social responsibility. These goals are:
- Carbon neutral operations for energy and transport by 2030;
- 67 % reduction of the total carbon footprint from 2018 until 2030 (incl. goods and services);
- 96 % reduction of the total carbon footprint from 1990 until 2030 (excl. goods and services); and
- Carbon neutral circular region in 2050.
